Bio

Codie provides individual counselling for a wide range of issues related to family building, prenatal, post-partum and parenting. She also works with clients seeking counselling for addiction (substance and process/behavioural), disordered eating/body image, chronic stress/burnout, anxiety, depression, relationships, education/employment and work/life balance.

She has an eclectic approach to counselling which uses a combination of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion Focused Therapy (EDT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also draws from humanistic, mindful self-compassion, feminist, solution-focused, client-centred, and dialectical informed modalities.

Codie practices from the strongly held belief that healing can only begin when we feel safe, heard, and accepted.she hopes to work together as a team to use evidence-based therapies to help clients reach their goals by processing past experiences, identifying present issues and developing tools they can take with them into their futures.
