How it all started

Lagoon Prenatal is more than just a clinic; it's a love letter to my mother, soul sisters, role models, and every matriarch who has shaped who I am today. 

From as early as I could remember, I've been innately fascinated by pregnancy and birth. As the daughter of a young single mother, I learned firsthand the value of hard work and the beauty of relying on community support. However, when I received autoimmune and infertility diagnoses as an adolescent, I encountered a medical system that misunderstood, dismissed, and ultimately failed to provide satisfactory solutions. I realized there was more to my experience than numbers in the bloodwork and a lifetime of struggle. This realization ignited my passion for holistic healthcare. Determined to create a different experience for others, I centered my career in allied health from the age of 17—starting from reception work in clinics, to folding laundry, and eventually becoming a therapist at a 5-star luxury spa. When I completed my diploma in massage therapy, it all clicked: we could create something unique. A space where individuals are seen, heard, and supported with compassion and understanding. A truly nourishing sanctuary where families could find safe, comprehensive support for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being throughout their entire reproductive health journey.
